Polish musicologist, author of the biography “Mieczysław Weinberg, A composer from three worlds” (2013). She devoted much attention to Beethoven’s music, chamber music, and contemporary Polish music.
Among her publications are found: the Quadrilingual Dictionary of Performance and Interpretive Terms (2008), Music and Politics (1999), and Music and Gender, (2001) and the latest publication, One Hundred Years of Polish Music History (2019).
Together with composer Krzysztof Meyer, her husband, she published a collection of Lutosławski’s writings and statements titled Witold Lutosławski. Postscriptum, and the largest two-volume biography of the composer (2003-2004).
